Since 2019 this doctor founded, Australia based tech company has been working to leverage AI to impact healthcare. With a recent revamp in 2023 they released Heidi Health, a dictation and content generation tool for medical practices. While on its surface Heidi may seem comparable to products such as Freed AI, it has aimed to go beyond conversational dictation and note generation, into a full feature set of AI enabled tools. Some interesting features released in the past year (2025) included:
- PDF editing and generation for routine forms
- Conversational AI agent in product for support, Q and A (such as asking about a patient or note), and coding recommendations.
- Automated calling: AI generated voice reminders and messages to patients
While many of these features are still in BETA, the release schedule shows how Heidi Health looks to go beyond dictation and note taking to create value for its users through the use of AI. Heidi also leverages its global community of multi-speciality providers to offer a massive library of templates which you can access and easily use in app for H&P, SOAP, and specialty specific templates. In their free trial you can test templates and many of the features above in a mock patient encounter, and even try their multiple dictation settings for more challenging environments (such as noisy rooms) or multi-language generation.
While their robust feature set and flexible API can create a bit of a learning curve, Heidi Health has the potential to be a multi-solution hub for providers once implemented, really leveraging the power of modern LLMs to power customized note taking and more. With investors from Anthropic behind them, this is a very interesting product that seems to utilize state of the art AI modeling to power its growing range of healthcare solutions.
